We will be having another pack test on Wednesday 6/22/05. It will be at 7:00 P.M. Meet up Tunnel Road about 3 miles - you'll see the cars.
Pack Test Requirements
- Light (required for minimal support crew) - walk 1 mile without a pack in 30 minutes or less.
- Moderate (required for most local fires) - walk 2 miles with a 15 pound pack in 35 minutes or less.
- Arduous (required if you want to work on a Forest Service crew) - walk 3 miles with a 45 pound pack in 45 minutes or less.
Bring your own pack, already loaded to the required weight. Bring water and wear suitable footwear.
